Manager/Personal Trainer

Born in Andalusia in the south of Spain, Pilar landed in the Martial Arts world more than fifteen years ago. She started practising KFM (Keysi Fighting Method) at the founder’s academy. This self-defence style has been seen many times on the big screen, including in ‘Batman Begins’, ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ and ‘Mission Impossible 3’. After less than a year, encouraged by the managing directors at Keysi, she joined the Instructor Development Programme and began to assist with classes. Only a few years later she achieved her black grade and became a Chief Instructor. She then decided to experiment and learn different styles and other fitness activities in order to have a broader understanding of self-defence and biomechanics. She learnt Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Capoeira, Climbing, Hip hop, Bio-dance, Breakdance and weight-lifting whilst studying at university and teaching self-defence. In addition, she started to teach herself about nutrition and fitness and soon qualified as a Personal Trainer and Boxing Instructor.

Due to her interest about how to strengthen the mind-body connection, by her early twenties she had read and learnt loads about psychology (especially emotional intelligence) and personal development. At the age of 20 she did a course on Gnostic Anthropology which made her her very interested in meditation, relaxation and mindfulness. Soon after that she joined Numad Yoga School and became a regular Yoga practitioner to the present day.

At the moment she is also learning Tai chi which is enabling to understand the human mechanics at a very subtle level. She is also focused on Strength, Endurance, Flexibility and Self-Defence training while studying phycology, neurology and physiology applied to health and fitness.

Now Pilar devotes her life to sharing her knowledge and experience to benefit other people’s lives. Her sessions can be focused on fitness (Fat Loss, Weight Loss, Strength, Endurance / Cardio-vascular and Flexibility), Self-defence or a combination of both. Beyond this, she knows how to help individuals to develop the right mindset and increase self-motivation; she is a health and fitness educator focused on delivering long-term, lasting results. She also has a broad understanding of mindfulness, yoga and nutrition for those who are interested in fuelling mind and body intelligently.
